The Strong’s Concordance defines it as to feel shame for something: – be ashamed


 It seems nowdays that all one has to do is turn on the T.V. or read the news and one after another religion or faith takes another turn toward the broad path that everyone seems so comfortable being on these days.

Paul said with assurity that he was not ashamed of the gospel, the gospel of what?

The KJV version says the gospel of Christ.

My question is, are you ashamed?

We all want to be viewed as loving and kind and considerate, while admirable, this is a totally false doctrine.

Matthew 10:34

“Do not think I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.”

We are to love yes, as Christ loves, but you are not loving people when you apologize for the truth!

The Apostle Paul, whom we love to quote said;

 I Cor. 4:9-14 ESV 

vs. 9 For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like men sentenced to death, becasue we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men.

vs. 10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute.

vs. 11 To the present hour we hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and buffeted and homeless,

vs. 12 and we labor, working with our own hands, When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure;

vs. 13 when slandered, we entreat. We have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, the refuse of all things.

vs. 14 I do not write these things to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children.

I find it interesting that all the world of “Chistendom wants to emulate Paul in everything unless it comes to physical or natural un-comfortableness.

We definitely get off the wagon when faced with death.

I see masses of Apostle wannabe’s and Prophet wannabe’s lining up to get their share of the Golden Kingdom, but when God starts talking about pain, suffering, poverty, homelessness and death, the line shrinks and reappears under how to write a book 101 or marketing your gift 101 or getting the most out of people 101.

Paul said I didn’t tell you all that so you would be ashamed, but rather as admonishment not to be.

As beloved as we have made Paul out to be, those of his generation evidently had a problem with him and were in some counts, if not all, ashamed of him.

Look around, do you see the same today?

Surely I am not alone in my observation?

Everyday I get more and more frustrated over Pastors and churches and religous organizations apologizing for the “Gospel of Christ”

I ask myself; Am I ashamed of You Lord?

The thing is when we apologize for truth we shame the very Christ we claim to love.

 

Think about that for a moment

Do we not realize in doing this we have made a mockery of the very Christ we claim to love.

He said if you love me then keep my commandments and my commandments are not greivous.

We see it is so common now, people apologizing for standing for truth, that we have become numb to it don’t you think?

Where is the righteous anger Jesus had over the temple money changers or the pharisees and their religous hypocrisy?

Why are we so afraid of speaking the truth and not backing down.

It isn’t our truth, It’s God’s truth.

Is HE not capable any longer of honoring HIS own truth?

When did God become weak and confused to us?

When did HE become ok with sin that crucified HIS Son?

Why? Please somebody explain this phenomenon too me.

Jesus was crucified after being beaten, scouraged, mocked , his hair ripped out , spikes driven in His hands, thorns driven deep within His skull and spit on, for what?

He endured the full wrath of Almighty God for who?

YOU and ME!

for what?

Truth!

Such a  small word with such big consequences.

Did HE apologize?

Did HE back down from HIS Word?

Did HE give certain people right of passage just because?

No sir!

No ma’am!

The entire sins of the whole earth were laid on HIM and HE did not open HIS mouth nor did HE apologize for the truth.

I’m hoping this will be a wake up call for someone!

However, I feel a Holy anger building within me that I believe needs to burn within the heart of every single person who names Christ as their own.

We better stop apologizing for the truth because like Paul admonished those of His day, when you do you are in reality apologizing for Christ!

John 14:6 ESV

vs.6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

There is no other way to God the Father except through Christ.

Sin is still sin stop apologizing for it or labeling it under a fancy name or excusing it for a cause or a name for yourself.

You deny the very Christ who died for that sin and one day, like it or not you will stand before that Christ who is THE Truth and you will have to explain to HIM why exactly you apologized for HIS Truth to someone who does not hold your eternity in their hands!

We better wake up church or we are going to get left behind!

I do not want to hear these three things from the Lord;

1) Where are you? (As HE asked Adam & Eve)
2) Where were you? (As HE asked Job)
3) Depart from me you wicked servant I never knew you!

I cannot fathom standing in eternity thinking I lived my life well pleasing too HIM only to hear HIM say Depart from me I don’t know you.

It gives me the shivers to even contemplate the possibility!

Join the Real Cause… Truth

Please join with the countless people throughout the ages that were not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!

There is only one judge who counts and HE holds your very breath in HIS hand!

Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever!

He laid down HIS God-power over you to redeem you, don’t spit in HIS face by apologizing for who HE is!

Trust me you can’t afford to gamble with your eternity that way!

Proclaim with me saints that;

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!

I will not be shut up by the radical thoughts of the masses who water down God’s Holy Word!

I will love as Christ loved but like Christ I will speak Truth in love!

I will not compromise my faith to appease anyone, excuse anyone or accept anyone!

I will hold the Truth as Truth and not cower down before persecution, distress or death!

I will remain faithful to the cause of Christ no matter what or who it cost me!

I guarantee that you will be so glad you did on that day when Christ looks at you with love and says “well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of thy Lord!




I’m hid with Christ!
