I don’t normally get involved in trying to dissuade people from seeing what they think they are seeing. However I take an exception with this one.
1) The Christian Post is pushing it, so somebody has to say something and it might as well be me.
2) It is a false sign and a very false Christ…
Jesus said in the last days that there would be many people saying that He was here or there but not to believe them.
Matthew 24: 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Why is this so dangerous you might be wondering. I will tell you why it is so very dangerous by going back to Jesus words again.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christ, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
I know what you’re thinking its just a face on a hillside. Interesting, say that to yourself again and let it sink in… For millenia man has tried his best to make a god out of rock, wood, silver, gold and precious stones.
This will be no different.
Millions will make their treks across the world to see this face on the hillside, leaving all sorts of gifts, prayers and I guarantee you before its said and done there will be miraculous stories told. Sadly, it will all be a lie from the greatest deceiver ever. Once more we will have fallen for the adversaries oldest trick, his most favored lie in his little dark book.
Did Jesus really say not to believe it if He appeared on earth, before His final return. I mean hath God really said?
Isaiah 46: 6-7 They lavish gold out of a bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
Our problem, we will worship anything and everything but God. We make all sorts of images, go see all kinds of phenomenons and of course satan is having the time of his life. You may think I’m going overboard, but am I really? How much will you pay to go see it? How many times will you share it or re-share it, knowing it is not Him.
Do you think Jesus really needs to put His face on a hillside?
When the rich man begged Him to send someone to tell his brothers about hell. What did Jesus say? Though one should come back from the dead (perhaps He intimated the rich man himself, perhaps, I don’t know) they would not believe.
Our faith in Jesus is by faith alone, not by sight.
He told us clearly that we would know without a doubt when He came He was here. Matter of fact the entire world will see Him and mourn. It’s funny, He didn’t mention that He would become a media sensation overnight when He did show up. Let’s look at what He did say so we can rest knowing this is exactly how it will come about.
Matthew 24:25-26 Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
So, please excuse me while I go grab an umbrella and wait for the skies to burst open… That’s the only sure fire way in this natural world I know it’s my Lord~
All these other faces showing up everywhere is giving me the creeps…
